William Richard Leeson - last Will & Testament
Interesting
to note that William Leeson's one of the witnesses to his will was Alfred Laban
Watton. In 1923, following the purchase of both Stephen Grant & Son and
Joseph Lang & Son by William Robson, forming the new company of Stephen Grant &
Joseph Lang, Watton, whom had formally been company secretary of Joseph Lang &
Son, was given the same position in the new company, complete with 1,000 shares.
the second witness, Charles Douglas Crook was also a an employee of the this new
company of Grant & Lang, in the capacity of a salesman. Quite how William Leeson
knew these two gentleman is unknown, whether through the London based gunmaking
trade or indeed through the various trade association can only be speculated.
